Canal 8 de Tucumán (Channel 8 of Tucumán) is a television station transmitting from the capital of the Argentine province of Tucumán.

Within a few months of beginning transmission, Channel 8 aired its first newscast called 12 Minutos (12 Minutes). After a while, this newscast turned into a one-hour show, and the name was changed to División Noticias (Breaking News), which is what the name is as of 2008.
Channel 8 presents public music programs with videos of MTV such as Conexión Videos, Musica Libre (Free Music), and Elegidos (Elected), which aired from 1987 to 2008.
It also has produced series for children and teens such as El Jardín de Florencia Flor (The Florencia Flor's Garden), El Payaso Tapalín (The Clown Tapalín), and Tevematch.
Commented Third Time is the first sports show of this channel. Channel 8, again was the first channel of the province to air live sporting events.
In the early 1990s, it whit a Company from Buenos Aires a miniserie set in the Tucumán of the 17th Century called 100 Años Despues (After 100 Years)

Channel 8 was a first channel in pass complete newscast from Buenos Aires as: 28 Millones (28 Million) later called 30 millones, Realidad 84 (Reality 84), This newscast changed its name according the year (example: in 1986 this newscast is called Reality 86), Redacción Abierta (Open Drafting) and Buenas Noches Argentina (Good Night Argentina).
