The Seer has a vision of the Charmed Ones finally vanquishing The Source; when The Source asks her what she sees, she says his demise. Piper and Leo argue in the dining about Leo signing her last will and testament; she wants to make sure that everything is taken care of if she were to die. Phoebe and Cole come into the living room explaining that they finished The Source vanquishing spell, by calling upon all of the Halliwell magic, Leo finds this as great news and orbs away to tell the elders still not signing her will. Phoebe explains that no one is going to die, but when she touches Cole she gets a premonition of Cole jumping in front of a fire ball to save her from a demon with half a face. Phoebe and Piper walk into the kitchen, so that Phoebe can explain what she saw, Phoebe wants Cole out of the house for the rest of the day, Piper agrees and calls Paige to tell her whats happening. Paige gets the call while she is in the middle of helping someone with getting her child back. Piper explains to her that this could be The Source, and they need to prepare. Paige talks back about how she's been trying so hard with Carolyn and wants to see it through. In an unknown place in the underworld, an angel and demon are playing a game of chess, when The Source flames in, and kills the angel explaining that the agreement has been revoked, and kills her. The Source then opens a set of doors to reveal a box with ancient scriptures on all sides of it. He walks over to the demon, and the demons pleads that all the Hollow does is consume powers. The Source then sends the demon on a search for powers. While Phoebe and Piper are in the attic, the demon attacks, sending Phoebe into a mirror. Piper tries to bow the demon up, but all he does is resurrects afterwards, knowing that something was wrong she gets an athame and throws it into his neck. Leo heals Phoebe; afterwards she asks what happens, and Piper explains, and shows that her powers are gone. When Piper goes flipping through the book, she finds the demon, as one of 'The Guardians of the Hollow', Leo explains that its impossible, and that The Source must have let it out
He also explains that even if they used their powers, all that would happen is that the Hollow would absorb it. While Paige and Darryl are waiting for Carolyn, Paige explains that its a big demonic emergency and needs the hearing to be postponed. While making a potion to replicate her exploding power, Cole walks in and Piper explains that they need to tell him. Phoebe tells him about her premonition, and he says that it was The Source she saw, and that his face was disfigured in the war that made him The Source. Cole then says that they need to find a way to beat The Source without their powers. In the underworld, the seer explains that The Source needs to put the Hollow back, because it will just consume the world. The Source says that he controls the Hollow, but she says that it'll just destroy everything. The Source then puts the Hollow in a dark-lighter, and sends him after Leo. While in the kitchen making potions to replicate powers, Leo explains that good and evil need to come together to put the Hollow back. Paige then gets a call from Darryl, where he is with Carolyn who has just got beaten up from her ex-husband. When she gets off the phone, the dark-lighter orbs in and shoots Leo, Paige attempts to orb the crossbow away but since it has the Hollow, it just absorbs her powers. Piper and Phoebe rush in, and Phoebe throws the potion at the dark-lighter killing him. Piper takes the dark-lighter arrow out of Leo, and then tries to convince him to switch powers with Phoebe, so that they can heal him, but he insist that she needs her powers. Paige tells Phoebe and Cole that she believes that their all going to die, because The Source knows what they're going to do before they even do. Back in the Underworld, The Source asks that Seer what she sees in her vision, and she explains that she sees nothing, as in no world, nothing. When Piper goes to check on Leo, he says that she needs to leave, but she explains that The Source will not scare her away, and that he's not going to die. While Phoebe looking for her potion books, Cole comes in with a ring, and proposes, she says that she doesn't think now is the time, but he says no matter what happens she'll always know he loves her. She then tells him that he has to leave, so that she doesn't have to watch him die, but he says she isn't meant to stop every premonition, sometimes their just a warning of what's to come. Darryl and Carolyn come to the house, when Darryl asks if everything is ok Piper says no, but Paige says yes. Piper tries to talk Paige out of it, but she says that she needs to do it, if its the last thing she does. Paige takes Carolyn and Darryl into the sun room, and cast the Vanishing Spell on her, so that her bruises and cuts to go away, so that she can get her son back, even though Darryl insist that it's a bad idea. Darryl says that he knows something is going on, but Paige insist that he needs to just worry about Carolyn.
Phoebe and Cole come up with the idea that if they use the "To Call For a Witches Powers" spell they could call them from the Hollow. When Cole goes in to look on Leo, he is summoned by the Seer and she says that he needs to take in the Hollow in able to save the sisters, and stop The Source. Cole wonders if the seer is just doing this for The Source, but she says that he needs to be stopped, in order for there to be a future for both sides. Cole then takes in the Hollow, in order to save Phoebe from dying. Piper, Phoebe and Paige summon their powers, but when they do The source appears, and the run for the attic, dodging fireballs. When they try to go to the attic The Source throws a fireball, hitting Piper into a wall. Phoebe says the plan can still work, and when Paige goes to get the crystals, The Source appears and throws her to the wall. Phoebe kicks The Source to the ground, and they put the crystals in a circle, but since The Source still has Paige's powers, he is able to call for it. The Source then throws a fireball, but Cole shimmers in and takes The Sources powers.
Phoebe, Piper, and Paige recite the spell and The Source is vanquished, the seer then appears, as the person they need from the evil side, and her and Phoebe recite the spell on the Hollow, and the Hollow goes back to the crypt. Having their powers back, Paige goes and heals Leo, the seer then says that Belthazor would've been the next source, and that she did what she did for her future. Paige asks where The Source's powers went, and she says that they went into the void. Later at P3 they all toast to Prue and the killing of The Source. When Cole shows up and hugs Phoebe his eyes go black, and the episode ends.
