Cheeky Records was founded in 1991 by the producer/remixer Rollo Armstrong, brother of Dido.
After releasing Frankë's - "Understand This Groove" and Gloworm's "I Lift My Cup" the label collapsed but was rescued in 1994 by Champion Records and was later bought out by BMG in 1999.
