Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia (CFCLA) is a locomotive and rolling stock leasing company in Australia. The company was established in 1997, and owns and manages $140 million of accredited rail assets under lease to Australian customers.

The parent company of CFCLA is Chicago Freight Car Leasing Company. In Australia, CFCLA wagons have four-character identification codes starting with the letter "C". The first locomotives acquired were 13 members of the EL class formerly owned by Australian National, the sale being completed in November 1998.[1]

In March 2009 the Marubeni Corporation of Japan took a 49% stake in CFCLA Rail JV for an undisclosed amount.[2]

The CFLCA diesel locomotive fleet is made up of a variety of different classes of units, ranging from modern high power units, older mainline locomotives, and smaller branch line and shunting units.[3]

As at 2010, the CFCLA fleet comprised 71 active locomotives and more than 1300 freight wagons
