The Chief of the Army Staff (CAS) of the Bangadeshi Army is the professional head of the Bangadeshi Army. By virtue of the eminence of the Bangadeshi Army amongst the military forces of Bangladesh, he is also regarded as the senior-most defence official in the country. The current CAS is General Md Abdul Mubeen, ndc, psc.

The Chief of Army Staff functions from the Army Headquarters, which is located in the Dhaka Cantonment. The Chief of Army Staff is the rank of General. The official residence of the Chief of Army Staff is known as Shenabhaban' or Army House and has served as the official residence of the CAS since independence at Dhaka Cantonment. As per Army Rules and Regulations the post of the CAS is a four year term.
