The CLP Group (SEHK: 2,OTCBB: CLPHY; Chinese: 中電集團) is a company headquartered in Hong Kong. It started out in 1901 as China Light and Power Company, Limited (中華電力有限公司), which operated a vertically integrated electricity generation, transmission and distribution business. Its modern network supplies electricity to over 2.2 million customers in Kowloon, the New Territories and most of the outlying islands, which constitute over 80 per cent of Hong Kong’s total population.

In recent years, CLP increasingly invests and operates energy businesses in Australia, China and the rest of Asia. It is a leading investor-operator in the Asia-Pacific electric power sector.

CLP Holdings Limited (中電控股有限公司, SEHK: 0002), the holding company for the CLP Group, is one of the most widely held and actively traded stocks on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

CLP was the first Hang Seng-listed company to publish an Environmental, Health and Safety Report. It has since published yearly reports on its environmental and social impact.
