Chisholm Trail is one of the nine middle schools in Olathe, Kansas. The school serves a diverse population among Southern Olathe. Their graduates go to Olathe South High School along with select Frontier Trail Junior High graduates and Indian Trail Junior High graduates. Chisholm Trail middle school's feeder schools are Arbor Creek elementary, Madison Place elementary, and Sunnyside elementary sends some people to CST. Their traditional rivals are the Frontier Trail Jaguars.[citation needed]

Chisholm Trail is one of the nine middle schools in the Olathe School district. Chisholm Trail opened its doors in 2000, with then principal Carol LeVar. Since then LeVar has left. The current principal is Steve Scoczek who is in his first year as Chisholm's principal. The school is located in the southern part of the district and feeds into Olathe South High School. The school is located in one of the fastest growing communities in Olathe. Chisholm Trail serves a very diverse community.[citation needed]

The school has received many awards and "Standard of Excellence" year after year, as well as a couple of City Championship Banners. The 2010 8th grade Wildcat football team finished with a 6-1 record, their only loss coming to Frontier Trail. The school has two gyms, and a 4ft to 12ft swimming pool. The school also has a track field.[citation needed]

School Colors: Green, Silver, and Black. Mascot: Wildcats.
