Chispitas Mariposa is a brand of sparklers trademarked to Maravillas de Colombia S.A, a Colombian fireworks maker. This type of sparkler is traditionally used by children at Christmas, especially on December 7, Dia de las Velitas day. Some people consider the Chispitas Mariposa to be a Colombian cultural symbol.[citation needed]
