Chuck Powers is an American-born actor/director who has become well known as a voice actor and director in the animation industry.
He was born in the United States and spent many years working on regional stages throughout the US. While working in New York City, he was asked to teach acting in Singapore. While he was there, He co-founded Voiceovers Unlimited, a company which specialized in the dubbing of foreign language animation into American dialect English. He has directed and acted in series such as One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Case Closed, Initial D and many others. He also created the voice of Gruff, the claymation mutt who hosted Nickelodeon’s MTV-style show Gruff’s Groove Box.
Working in the entertainment industry for over two decades. he is a founding partner in Creative Fuzion Entertainment where he serves as CEO. Chuck has served as a voiceover talent for clients as diverse as Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, HBO, Volvo, Standard Chartered, Burger King, Volkswagen, and dozens more and has voiced hundreds of animated characters over the last twenty years.
He is the co-founder of Creative Fuzion, with Taaz Gill. Through Creative Fuzion he has co-produced several projects, including ZAKUMI, an animated series featuring the mascot of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Currently he is the Director of Ribbit, a 3D animated feature film being produced by KRU Studios and Crest Animation.[1]
