Cityview
Cityview is a publication of Big Green Umbrella Media, Inc., an Iowa company owned by Shane Goodman and Michael Gartner. The company also publishes Iowa Living magazines, a group of 18 monthly lifestyle magazines in the Iowa communities of Johnston, Urbandale, Adel, West Des Moines, Clive, Norwalk, Perry, Clear Lake, Fort Dodge, Algona, Windsor Heights, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Ankeny, Grimes, Webster City and the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines.
Cityview has published since 1992 and is known for reporting unconventional news in features and columns like Civic Skinny; Good, Bad & Ugly; We The People; Locker Room; Rap Sheet; It's Your Money; Scene Scribe; Food Dude; Belly Up; and a variety of other reviews. Regular columnists include Kent Carlson, Herb Strentz, Gil Cranberg, Walt Shotwell and Douglas Burns.
