Club Social y Deportivo Independiente, known simply as Independiente del Valle or Independiente, is a sports club based in Sangolquí, Ecuador. Formerly known as formerly Club Social y Deportivo Independiente José Terán, the club is best known for its professional football team, which currently competes in the Ecuadorian Serie A, the top-flight league in the country.
