Cocody, is an upmarket suburb of Abidjan, marked by its abundance of mansions. Cocody is where most of the wealthy business people, ambassadors, and other affluent people live. The Université de Cocody [1] is located in Cocody.
Additionally, a native food of Côte d'Ivoire, the alloco, can be purchased here at the allocodrome de Cocody.
In 1965 a film was released entitled Man from Cocody.
Alpha Blondy wrote a song about Cocody, called Cocody Rock.
