[edit] Admission

CEU has an open admissions policy which means that if one applies to CEU and has graduated from high school, or has earned a GED, he or she will be accepted. Prospective students can request information online. [1]

[edit] Athletics

CEU has four varsity sports: (men's baseball and basketball, and women's volleyball and basketball). CEU also offers two club sports: soccer and track. CEU is a member of the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) as well as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

[edit] Student body

CEU has a very active student body with activities going on every week. Gibby is a spirit rock located on the CEU campus near the student center. A small plaque nearby explains the rock's purpose and history. Students can paint Gibby whenever they feel like it, and it is repainted nearly every week as a way to advertise and express themselves.

[edit] Context

CEU campuses are situated in the center of geological treasures and recreational opportunities, giving the college a unique character. These features include the San Rafael Swell, Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, and the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry. CEU is one of a very few two-year colleges with an accredited museum, the renowned CEU Prehistoric Museum. Students take an active interest in CEU's unique context in the midst of the Utah high desert. The environs include national parks, rafting and recreational activities, scenic wilderness and wildlife, and rich prehistoric localities.
