Comandarm (also komandarm, commandarm, Russian "командарм" - abbreviated from "командующий армии", "commander of the army") was a military rank of the Red Army until the end of the 1930s.

There were two ranks of comandarm, approximately corresponding to "general", or NATO ranks OF-9.

"Comandarm of the second rank" (командарм второго ранга), with the insignia of four diamonds, is 4 ranks above a colonel.
