The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management (known as simply Hilton College) is one of twelve academic college of the University of Houston. The college, consisting of several facilities, includes a full-service Hilton Hotel. The College currently offers multiple programs that include: Bachelors of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (B.S. HRM), Bachelors of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a Minor in Wine and Spirits Management and Marketing (B.S./Minor CBM), and Single or Dual Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Hospitality Administration (MHA).

The Hilton College began in 1969 when James Taylor, who would be the first dean for the college, presented Eric Hilton, son of Conrad N. Hilton, with plans for a hospitality college to be located at the University of Houston. Barron Hilton, upon hearing of the particular college from his brother, agreed it would be an excellent opportunity to honor their father. After Conrad Hilton was presented with the plans from his sons, he immediately contributed $1.5 million for completion of the project.[1]
Following the start of classes on September 16, 1969, a black tie dinner was held in celebration by the President of UH.[1]
In 1987 UH offered a special Spanish program available to students in the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management where they could take a Spanish class catering to their program.[2]
In addition to operating the full-service Hilton hotel, the college also operates two restaurants, Eric's and Baron's, and the Fred Parks Wine Cellar.[3]
In January 2009, the college opened the Cougar Grounds Coffee Shop. They had a "soft open" in October 2008. It was the Second coffee shop to be run by students as part of a corollary education class.[4] The college offers courses for class credit through the coffee shop.[5][6]
