Counterfeit Holiday was a power pop / rock band from Atlanta, Georgia that formed in 2004. The band was composed of former members of other local bands, including Standard Grade, Burn You Beautiful, and Week Proposal. In 2005, Counterfeit Holiday began work on their debut E.P., entitled Take Two and Call Us in the Morning, and it was subsequently released in mid-2006 on both CD as well as on iTunes to much critical acclaim.

In 2006, Counterfeit Holiday began working on a follow-up to their debut release, Take Two and Call Us in the Morning, with various releases originally scheduled throughout late 2006 and early 2007.[citation needed] However, recording ceased before any of the tracks were finished, and the band is currently no longer together.

[edit] Persona

Each member of Counterfeit Holiday has adopted a persona, which they use as a way of independently identifying each member's unique style. For example, Cole Holiday is known as "The Wailing Swooner," which he derives from two different vocal techniques that he employs (among others): wailing and swooning. Chance Holiday is known as "Chance the Christian," which originated from a joke regarding his previous religious beliefs. Joey Holiday is known as "The Bullet," which was his nickname before joining the band. Lastly, Jeff Holiday is known as "The Righteous Pounder," a sexual pun on the fact that he is a drummer.
