Cricket Hill is a microbrewery based in Fairfield, New Jersey. In 2002 they brewed their flagship beers: East Coast Lager and American Ale. More recently Colonel Blide's Bitter and Hopnotic IPA have been produced. The seasonals include Jersey Summer Breakfast Ale, Fall Festivus, Paymasters Porter, and Maibock. Tours are given by appointment, however, every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. there is a tour and beer tasting.
Rick Reed is the head brewer and CEO. Brad Benson was the first brewer in the company's history. He was followed by Norbert Walsh and current brewer David Manka, both American Brewers Guild graduates.
Cricket Hill actively practices Reinheitsgebot, the Germany purity law, in the production of their beers. In addition, Rick Reed is the founder of the New Jersey Beer Rebellion.
