The Criminal Investigative Department (reporting name: CID) is a law enforcement agency of the GPS (Ghana Police Service).[1] CID carries out investigations into terrorism (state terrorism) and computer crime, crimes including murders and organized crime.[1] CID also gives forensic science support. CID is headquartered in Greater Accra.

The Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the GPS (Ghana Police Service) works in plain clothes.[1] The personnel of this GPS branch are employed undefined as specialists in connection with various aspects of crime detection.[1][2]
