[edit] Plot summary
Ex-Special Air Service soldier Nick Stone is in Basra, guarding a TV crew. While covering a major insurgence into hostile territory by the British forces, Nick is injured and the reporter's swift action saves his life. Hours later, the reporter is missing and assumed kidnapped and Stone embarks on a journey that will take him to Ireland, London, and finally back to Ireland.

Utilizing a "free-chapter-to-your-mobile" service offered by Border's, Crossfire was promoted by being offered for download on mobile phones, where the first chapter would then be able to be played as "spoken word".[1]
