"Cryptorchid" is a the fourth and final single from Marilyn Manson's second studio album, Antichrist Superstar. The general theme of the song is Manson's own descent into a personal hell, which results in him becoming the so-called "antichrist superstar" that he is today, as well as a sort of breaking off from his family and society in general. As such, the flow of the song is much slower and downtrodden, breaking away from the larger style of the album, which is loud and brash. A music video directed by E. Elias Merhige and using footage from the film Begotten was made. The song has been covered by Dave Matthews.
