Cuba (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkuβɐ]) is a town and municipality in Portugal with a total area of 172.1 km² and a total population of 4,775 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 4 parishes, and is located in the District of Beja.
Historically is alleged in Portugal as being the birthplace of Christopher Colombus. (In: Mascarenhas Barreto "Colombo Português: Provas Documentais")
The present Mayor is Francisco Orelha, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is Monday after Easter.
