Currency Magazine is an American monthly, full-color print magazine covering hip-hop music, fashion, and culture based in Long Beach, California.

History[edit]

Currency Magazine was first formed at the Western Conference, by Snoop Dogg on July 4, 2005, when key players came together to form a platform for the West Coast. The concept behind the magazine was to create an outlet for West Coast entertainment and lifestyle, covering the world of hip-hop from California's perspective. Currency Magazine features many West Coast artists that are often overlooked by New York-based magazines such as The Source and XXL.
