Dutch-built (Boele Yard, Bolnes), launched 1936. Originally the Imperial/government yacht Shahsavar, the Hamzeh has been modified to carry C-802 anti-ship missiles and light defences. Due to age, performance and disposition probably used for training. As the name Hamzeh was also reported for a Bluebird class minesweeper ( ex-Sarokh ) in 2006 renaming must be recent.

The Iranian guided missile gunboat Paykan was sunk during Operation Morvarid in 1980, while the guided missile gunboat Joshan was sunk during Operation Praying Mantis in 1988, these ship must not be confused with the new Joshan and Paykan.
Joshan, Paykan, Derafsh and Kalat are (heavily upgraded) Iranian-built versions of this class which Iran calls Sina class.
