D.O. (a.k.a. Defy the Odds; real name Duane Gibson) is a Guinness World Record setting rapper born in Sarnia, Ontario based in Toronto, Ontario. In 2003, D.O. set a Guinness World Record for the longest freestyle rap clocking in at 8 hours and 45 minutes.[1]
D.O. records as a solo artist and is also one-half of the duo Art of Fresh, with beatmaker and vocalist Slakah the Beatchild. He has had several videos in rotation on MuchMusic and has toured Canada multiple times. In the last year D.O. has performed globally with stops in Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, New York City, Miami and Las Vegas.
He has also visited hundreds of schools, and speaks to students addressing topics such as bullying, peer pressure, and working at peak performance.
