Draw A Bird Day[1] is a miscellaneous event, allegedly in the memory of the birthday, on the 8th of April, of Dorie Cooper, an English girl who died.

People celebrate this event by drawing birds and sharing their images. The aim is for entertainment only, with no formal events held.

The Internet has allowed participants to share their drawings with far more people than previously would have been possible, gaining it some popularity.
