DTU Nanotech before 2008 called MIC•DTU is a research institute of micro- and nanotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Kongens Lyngby, ten kilometers north of Copenhagen. MIC represents a research environment where micro and nanotechnology are applied to a wide range of scientific disciplines, e.g. mechanics, optics, chemistry, and the life sciences. MIC has access to a cleanroom, chemical laboratories, biochemical laboratories, and optical laboratories. MIC is part of the joined nanotechnology and nanoscience efforts at the DTU, known as Nano•DTU.[citation needed]
