Daidōji family

The Daidōji family were very important retainers under the Hōjō clan during Japan's Sengoku period. However, when the Hōjō home castle of Odawara fell in 1590, the Daidōji and Hōjō both were nearly eliminated, and their alliance dissolved[citation needed].
