Danielle Roundtree is a singer, actress, model, fashion designer, and pageant titleholder from Miami, Florida who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.

Pageants[edit]

Roundtree competed in her first Miss USA state pageant in 2006 when she was a non-finalist in the Miss Florida USA competition. After moving to New York she competed for and won the Miss New York USA 2008 title on her first attempt. She represented New York at Miss USA 2008 held in Las Vegas, Nevada in March 2008.

In 2009 she won a local title and competed in the Miss New York pageant, winning two preliminary awards and placing in the top ten. After returning to Florida she won the Miss Gold Coast title and placed 3rd runner-up at Miss Florida 2010. Roundtree also won a preliminary swimsuit award in that pageant..

Personal life[edit]

Roundtree is the daughter of Dr. Johnny and Gailyn Roundtree and is related to actor Richard Roundtree who won fame in the 1970s with his role as John Shaft.[1] She graduated from Dillard Center for the Arts High, went on to Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, and later transferred to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, as a musical theatre major where she graduated.

After passing on the Miss New York USA title Roundtree auditioned for American Idol 8 and advanced to the Hollywood rounds where she was cut in the top 147 contestants.[2]

Danielle has since been signed to Nayr Entertainment. Her debut album is set to release in early 2011.
