This is the Danish monarchs' family tree from 1047 to the present ruler, queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
Note: Margaret of Sweden (~1080-1130) is also called Estrid.

- Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra are now divorced. Alexandra is now allowed the title Countess of Frederiksborg. She married Martin Jørgensen on March 3, 2007.
- Prince Joachim married Marie Cavallier on May 24, 2008. She is now Princess Marie of Denmark. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie have a son, Prince Henrik of Denmark who was born on May 4, 2009 and a daughter Princess Athena of Denmark was born on January 24, 2012.
- Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have four children: Prince Christian of Denmark, Princess Isabella of Denmark, Prince Vincent of Denmark, and Princess Josephine of Denmark.
- Queen Margrethe II ascended the throne in 1972, but no Danish monarch has been crowned since Denmark became a constitutional monarchy in 1849.
