David Francis Graf (born August 5, 1953 in Dunkirk, New York) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Redskins. He played college football at Penn State University and was drafted in the seventeenth round of the 1975 NFL Draft with the 421st overall pick.


Early Life:

Born David Francis Graf (August 5th 1953) in Dunkirk, New York. He attended Dunkirk Public High School and graduated in 1971.


Collegiate Career:

After graduating from Dunkirk Public High School in 1971, he would be one of the highest touted prospects in Western New York history. After multiple collegiate offers, he would eventually commit to Penn State and play from 1972 to 1974.

Professional Career:

After his 3 year stint at Penn State, he decided to not play his senior year and enter The 1975 NFL Draft. Despite his decision to drop his senior year, many draft experts projected him to be taken in the later rounds of the draft. As they predicted, he was taken in the 17th round picked 421st overall by The Cleveland Browns.
