David Banks (born April 2, 1983) is an American boxer fighting out of Portland, Oregon, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada .

Banks began his professional career in 2005, and lost to Peter Manfredo Jr in June 2007. He was devastatingly knocked out by Edison Pantera Miranda in January 2008.[1] Joe Tessitore compared the straight right that sent Banks through the ropes to a shotgun being fired off.

Banks was one of the boxers featured on the 3rd season of the boxing reality TV series, The Contender, The Contender (season 3), on ESPN. He was eliminated in the first round of the tournament however, losing a decision to Paul Smith.
