David Griggs (February 5, 1967 in Camden, New Jersey – June 19, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was a linebacker in the National Football League for six seasons. He started in Super Bowl XXIX for the San Diego Chargers. Griggs attended the University of Virginia. He attended and played football for Pennsauken High School in Pennsauken, New Jersey. He died in 1995 when his speeding car slid off an expressway ramp and slammed into a large sign pole.
