David Norman Hewett (born 14 July 1971), simply known as Dave, is a New Zealand rugby player. His usual position is at prop. He plays for the Canterbury Crusaders in Super Rugby and for Canterbury in the Air New Zealand Cup. He is 1.91 m tall and weighs 116 kg. He made his debut for the All Blacks at the age of 30 on November 2001 against Ireland. He has played 22 tests for the All Blacks and has scored two tries. He was born in Christchurch.
