Day By Day Entertainment is an independent hip hop record label and record distribution company, based in New York City. It was started in 1999 by MC MF Grimm before his 3-year incarceration starting in 2000 [1]. This label specializes primarily in Hip hop[2].
After a brief hiatus, Day by Day Entertainment was relaunched August 24, 2009.
Part of the significance of the label's being a taste-maker of underground hip-hop music is its release of the unprecedented "The Downfall of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera" (2002) (with Metal Face Records), which is MF Grimm's 3-disc volume of tracks recorded within 24 hours of going to prison: The release was critically well-received by established music critics.[3]
