Days of 31 May and 2 June 1793

The Days of 31 May and 2 June 1793 (journées du 31 mai et du 2 juin 1793) were a series of urban revolts in Paris during the French Revolution. They saw the fall of the Girondists under pressure from the people of Paris.

Revolts

2 June

While 80,000 men of the National Guard led by François Hanriot surrounded the Convention building, a deputation persuaded the Convention to arrest 31 Girondist members of parliament, including the ministers Étienne Clavière and Pierre Lebrun-Tondu.
