Dedrick D. Gobert (November 25, 1971 – November 19, 1994) was an American actor best known for his supporting role as "Dooky" in the 1991 John Singleton film Boyz n the Hood.

Born Dedrick Dwayne Fontenot in Louisiana, Gobert appeared in Poetic Justice and Higher Learning after making his film debut in Boyz n the Hood.

Gobert died on November 19, 1994 after being fatally shot in the head with a .50IMI Desert Eagle during an argument over an illegal drag race in Mira Loma, California, six days short of his 23rd birthday.[1]
