Demra is located at 23°42′30″N 90°26′30″E / 23.7083°N 90.4417°E . It has 102757 units of house hold and total area 47.35 km².
Demographics [edit]
As of 1991[update] Bangladesh census, Demra has a population of 521160. Males constitute are 56.42% of the population, and females 43.58%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 290981. Demra has an average literacy rate of 52.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
