Desert Rock (formed in London, UK in 2012) is a world, Blues and rock, band.

Biography[edit]

Album by British Blues guitarist and vocalist Ramon Goose. Desert Rock started as Ramon Goose's idea to combine Mandinka rhythms with earthy trancey blues. Drawing on band members from his recent bands with Diabel Cissokho & The West African Blues Project, he formed Desert Rock to get back to edgier more dangerous Blues. There is no higher musical agenda with this band accept to play the music that feels the most natural with each band member contributing as they know best. An album is expected in early 2013. The album 'Desert Rock' includes the song 'Long Road To Tiznit' written about the Moroccan city Tiznit.
