Detective Kalita is a Toronto indie rock band, consisting of singer, songwriter and guitarist Andy Swan, guitarist and lap steel player Sandro Perri, bassist Greg Smith and drummer Shayne "The Velvet Fog" Cox.
The band releases its material on Kelp Records. In addition to their own recordings, the band also contributed a song to the 2006 compilation album See You on the Moon!
