The Deutsches Panzermuseum has extensive exhibits relating to every aspect of the Germany Military in both world wars, as well as specific exhibits relating to Erwin Rommel that include many of his personal possessions.

There are 95 vehicles in the collection, including some from World War I. There are around forty World War II armoured vehicles from the Wehrmacht and the Allies, and forty postwar vehicles from both the German and other armies. Most are in working order, with restoration work ongoing to render all examples functional. The restoration staff of the museum do extensive research on every vehicle in order to return it to its original configuration and paint scheme. Also, every type of firearm and weapon used by the Germany Army in both world wars is displayed.
