Dharmapur is a census town in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is under Chinsurah police station in Chinsurah subdivision.[1]

Demographics [edit]
As of 2001[update] India census,[3] Dharmapur had a population of 5384. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Dharmapur has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76% and, female literacy is 65%. In Dharmapur, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
