Diego Hipólito da Silva Lopes (born 3 May 1994) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club Rio Ave as a midfielder.

Club career[edit]

Diego Lopes joined Benfica's youth system at the age of 14, climbing through the youth ranks every year. In 10 June 2012, he was loaned for 1 year to Rio Ave in Primeira Liga [1]

Diego Lopes made his debut with Rio Ave replacing Braga at 72nd minute in a 0-0 draw against Académica.[2]

In 3 August 2013, Diego Lopes signed a permanent deal with Rio Ave for five seasons.[3]
