Diego Fernando Valdés Parra (born August 13, 1981) is a Colombian footballer who has played for Deportivo Cali as a defender and central midfielder since 2002. He has represented Colombia at under-21 and under-23 level.[1]
His former clubs at professional level include Deportivo Cali, Deportivo Pasto and Independiente Medellín in his native Colombia and Estudiantes de Mérida from Venezuela. Valdés currently plays for Blooming in the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano. His younger brother is football defender Carlos Valdés, who plays for the Philadelphia Union in the MLS.
