Diepmeadow is a township that is part of the greater Soweto in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It consists of two townships of Diepkloof and Meadowlands. Meadowlands was built to accommodate the residents of Sophiatown who were forcibly removed in 1957. Diepkloof was established in 1959 to accommodate people being removed from Alexandra.
