"Disappearer" was the second single from Sonic Youth's 1990 album Goo. It was released in 1990 on DGC. The song's working title was "Number One", available on Goo Demos.

"That's All I Know (Right Now)" was previously released on the "Kool Thing" single.

Music video[edit]

The music video for "Disappearer" was directed by Todd Haynes. The beginning of the video shows the band wearing drag while evading the police, and then inside a car driving at night on the streets of Toronto, Canada.
