Discovery Channel (Ireland) operated by Discovery Networks Europe produces an English speaking channel which targets the Republic of Ireland. The channel's programming is based on programming produced by Discovery Networks Europe, Discovery Channel Canada and Discovery Channel from the US.

  • As of October 28, 2009 the Discovery Channel have signed up to Nielsen Media Research Ireland.[2] Discovery Networks Europe will record data in relation the amount of viewers that actually watch the Discovery Channel in Ireland.
  • As of January 1, 2009, Sky Media Ireland operates Discovery Channel Ireland's output in terms of advertising, sponsorship and scheduling.[3]
