Disney's BoardWalk Inn is a hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort and opened on July 1, 1996. The hotel is officially called Disney's BoardWalk Resort, but is more commonly known as Disney's BoardWalk Inn. It was built to be reminiscent of the boardwalks that were famous along Atlantic City and Ocean City, New Jersey in the 1920s-1940s. The sherbet-colored facades, flagged turrets, striped awnings, the waterslide, the "Keister Coaster" resembling a wooden roller coaster are all inspired by that by-gone era. It is one of the Epcot Area Resorts, located across the lagoon from Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and it is a short walk to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There is water transport available, free-of-charge, to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and the Swan and Dolphin resorts. The hotel also shares its lobby with Disney's BoardWalk Villas.

[edit] Dining

  • Big River Grille & Brewing Works
  • Boardwalk Bakery- Pastries, as well as numerous deserts are sold here. Besides Kouzzina, it is the only Boardwalk eatery that serves breakfast.
  • ESPN Club - A restaurant, bar, arcade, and shop similar to ESPN Zones found throughout the United States, but with lighter menu options and less of a sportsbook feel. The main difference between the "Club" and the "Zones" is the live, interactive entertainment every night. Guests at the ESPN Club get to share their questions, opinions, and comments with the "Sports Hosts" every night. The fare includes that of a typical sports bar, with the notable exceptions of the Salmon BLT, the Cuban Burger, and the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. There are many jerseys, balls, plaques, and other various sports memorabilia throughout the facility. It features over 100 monitors located throughout the restaurant, bar, and restrooms, as well a 90-square-foot (8.4 m2) HD projection screen in the main dining room. The ESPN Club also has a radio broadcast facility, featuring ESPN personalities and other radio broadcasters occasionally doing remotes from there.
  • Flying Fish Cafe- A fine seafood restaurant.
  • Kouzzina by Cat Cora- A new restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine opened Saturday, August 16, 2009. Kouzzina is replacing Spoodles, which also offered Mediterranean cuisine.[1]
