Disney Auctions was created in October of 2000 with a partnership between The Walt Disney Company and eBay. Items like signs and ride vehicles from Disneyland and Walt Disney World are commonly sold as well as costume pieces and props from previously released movies from Walt Disney Studios.
As of fall of 2006, Disney has ended their partnership with eBay and has moved the Disney Auctions website under its own banner. The link to Disney Auctions now leads to Disney Shopping as of February, 2007. The merchandise sold on Disney Shopping includes The Disney Store and will be similar to the ones that were once offered on Disney Auctions including collectible pins and other limited editions. Disney Shopping also has nearly a full catalog of Disney DVDs and boasts one of the largest selections of Disney merchandise anywhere on the web.
