Divisional Model College is a Semi-Private college of Faisalabad. it is the only Co-education college in Faisalabad. Divisional Commissioner, Faisalabad is Chairman of its Board Of Governors. Its Main Campus is situated on DCO Road Faisalabad besides Iqbal Stadium within the premises of Divisional Public School & College Faisalabad. Another campus in Faisalabad was further launched in Madina Town, Faisalabad. in 2011, two other branches of the institution have been launched in Sargodha and Jhang.

Brief History

The idea of setting up an institution of the level of “Divisional Model School (DMS)” as a seat of learning was conceived by Mr. Shehzad Hassan Pervez, Commissioner, Faisalabad Division 1989.

Main Block of Divisional Model College

The medium of instruction was to be English and its students were ultimately to be prepared and groomed for Cambridge and B.I.S.E. Faisalabad examinations respectively. D.M.S. has been upgraded to College with F.Sc. Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering and ‘A’ level stream of Cambridge University Examinations as well. Divisional Model College is a purpose built campus in the heart of Faisalabad in the most secured area. Laboratories

College is having custom built Physics, Biology and Chemistry laboratories having equipment including electric micro scope and oscilloscope to prepare the student for F.Sc and “A” Level exams.

I.T Department

The department of computer Science has at present 2 computer laboratories with 40 Core Due & Pentium IV computers. The department has computing facilities. These labs are employing the latest WINNT based network environment. Internet facility has also been provided in labs. Every DMC student, class prep onwards, has access to these computers.

Library

DMC library provides library and information services. It houses an expanding collection of reference books, educational cd’s, dvd’s, movies, journals and newspapers. College prescribes for about 25 national and international dailies and magazines. It contains over 7000 books. The reading hall has a capacity of over 50 students at a time. A large number of books on English literature, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology are also available in the library. A well stocked reference section has been recently added. Library is arranged on Dewey Decimal system.

Auditorium

The College has a large air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 persons where a number of co-curricular activities are conducted. These activities include professional, regional and national level trainings of own as well as other Divisional Model College, teachers. It is the only Examination Centre being used by British Council for “O” Level, "A" Level and “A” Level Exams at Faisalabad. SSC and HSSC exams are also conducted here by FBISE, Faisalabad.

Extra Coaching

The School organizes extra coaching classes for `O' Level and SSC for about four weeks. Attendance in these classes is compulsory.Educational trips are a regular feature of the Institution and prior permission of the parents is required for all such activities.

The College is affiliated with the Faisalabad Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (FBISE) Faisalabad for SSC/ HSSC and with University of Cambridge - UK for "O" Level & "A" Level Examinations.
