An Apple Dock Connector

A Dock Connector is a small connector attached to a cable, typically with a USB connector attached to the other end. Dock connectors are used to connect mobile devices such as mp3 players and digital cameras to computers or other devices. Dock connectors often have pins to facilitate various signals, such as TV output, audio input and output, and remote signalling, such as "play", "pause", "rewind", etc. The most well known dock connector is used on the Apple iPod.
